Helping cats out of shelters...into homes

When contacting us, please mention that you found us through our Cat Chat Homing Page.

Thank you!

Thank you for looking at one of our wonderful Rescue Remedies cats! We hope that this brief profile will give you a little bit more information about how you can offer one or more of our cats a home for life.

We are a small, independent rescue run by a small team of staff and lots and lots of volunteers who all are passionate about rescuing animals. We offer rescue spaces to cats from all walks of life – some come from council pounds having been found stray, others from families directly who can no longer keep them, some via social services, and nearly all have very sad stories. We have an army of Cat Cuddler volunteers who love our cats to pieces and spend hours chatting to them, stroking them and socialising them, so that they are ready to be cherished in their new homes.

Biscuit's story: Biscuit was born on 17th July 2025 and will be ready for homing at 9 weeks old (18th Sept onwards). Biscuit and his three sibs joined us along with their mum, Gayle, when the babies were just a week old, having been removed from their first owners by social services. After a week at our rescue, a foster home was found for Gayle and her kittens, where they have been flourishing!

About Biscuit now: Biscuit has been enjoying living in a family environment and having lots of fun! He has been health checked and will need to be vaccinated and neutered when old enough by his receiving family (or by our rescue if he is with us that long). He is a playful, sociable little fluffball, usually found chasing one of his siblings around - his brother Fudge is his best friend and they are never far apart! Biscuit has finished feeding from mum now and is weaning onto kitten food.

Microchipped – yes
Spayed/neutered – too young
Vaccinated – too young
Full rescue back-up for life - yes

What kind of home Biscuit needs: This little sweetie can be homed to a household with an existing cat to teach him how to be a grown up cat, or can be homed with another cat or kitten from hisfamily (ideally Fudge, his bestie!). Biscuit would be a lovely pet for a family, or for an adult home. He would like to have a garden to explore when the time is right. We aren't sure about whether he would be happy with a dog.

We home our cats NATIONWIDE and have been as far as Guernsey for the right family for one of our cats! The very first step is to head to our website and complete the Homing Enquiry form. The Homing Team will then be in touch with you if you are a match for one of our cats. The link to our Homing Form is here: Rescue Remedies Cat Adoption Form
