Snuggles! Never was a cat less aptly named – it would seem. Snuggly she isn’t! More appropriate would be ‘Little Miss Independent’ or ‘I love playing but not snuggles’. She came to Cats Protection when her owner, her special person who had owned her since a kitten, passed away. We understand she was very much a one person cat and loved her owner and ‘snuggled’ lots – but only with her Mum. So understandably she is sad and a bit angry with the world. In her eyes her life has been turned upside down.

She is a beautiful calico Tortie of around 6 years old (although her teeth and general health would suggest a much younger cat and so would her playfulness). When she first arrived with CP, she was very grumpy, but with persistence we’re discovering a very playful, quite funny cat under the grumps. She LOVES a dangly toy, preferably when bouncing in and out of her play tunnel and often has a little purr to herself while she tries to disembowel her toys >^..^< She is very acrobatic and does some fabulous triple salchow jumps (could be a brilliant ice skater). She is starting to allow a little head stroke, even a stroke on the back – just don’t touch her tail (no idea why, but she is grumpy about that). She will need patience and owners who understand she does like her own space and will only let you in when she is ready. But for all that she does like to be around people and enjoys company so it will be really rewarding to help her find her mojo and start enjoying life again. Are you the person to help her?

Based on her background she needs to be the only pet and ideally in a home without children, or with much older children who will play with her with toys but not expect cuddles.
