Helping cats out of shelters...into homes

Black cat homed.

A voluntary position, working online, from home, on a flexible hours, Job-share basis (covering Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays). If you would like to help raise awareness of adopting a rescue cat, then this is for you. This is the ultimate feel-good job, as you will be dealing with cat homing successes...

Job Outline
When a cat is rehomed with Cat Chat's help, you will collate the information, and prepare the cat's photo, to upload to our Latest Cats Homed ('Rehoming Roll of Honour') section. Work is carried out through your regular web browser, no website-building knowledge is needed. You will, however need to be willing to learn how to use a basic content management system (guidelines and support provided). You will also be liaising with rescue shelters by email.

Requirements
Applicants must be fully competent at preparing images for the web, ie: cropping, resizing, improving and optimising images ready for posting online. You will need to have access to an appropriate image programme, (we are unable to supply software, however there are some good, free online image editing tools available if needed). The successful applicant will be fully computer literate and have an excellent command of English.

Time Commitment
Your help will be required on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays. You will need to check the online mailbox on each of these days, and update the Latest Cats Homed section with homing successes as required. Allow up to one hour each time.
