We are seeking a volunteer Twitter (X) page manager to join our friendly Social Media team. This is a voluntary position, working remotely, online, on a flexible hours basis. If you are experienced using Twitter, and care about cats and their welfare, this could be the role for you...

Job Outline
Our Twitter (X) Page Manager role is to maintain, grow and improve the Cat Chat charity Twitter (X) page. You will be assisting in our aim of promoting cat adoption and welfare, and raising awareness of the charity to a wider audience.

Whilst regular content will be provided for posting, our ideal candidate will also have the ability to create content themselves, and to keep an eye out for topical cat related stories and relevant posts by others to re-tweet. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative, to schedule and compile posts, and to engage with our page visitors.

Requirements
A web-wise person who is fully computer literate, with an excellent command of English. Experience with social media is essential, specifically in managing a Twitter page for an organisation or business.

We are looking for someone with new ideas for improving content and to gain followers. Our ideal candidate will have experience using the Tweet activity dashboard, to analyse page performance, using those insights to increase engagement with our Twitter (X) page.

Shortlisted applicants will need to provide examples of some of their previous Twitter posts. Preference will be given to applicants who could also offer occasional 'cover' when needed, to manage our Facebook or Instagram pages.

Some knowledge of cat or animal rescue / adoption would be an advantage. Guidelines and support provided.

Time Commitment
You will be required to check your Cat Chat mailbox regularly, and post to Twitter (X) a minimum of 3 or 4 times per week, (more often would be even better, if possible!).

Additional Information
Cat Chat is a friendly, fully inclusive team. Applicants must be 18 or over and resident in the UK or Ireland. Two references will be required from shortlisted applicants.
